H&M launches a new sustainable collection – here are our five hero styles

H&M might be one of the biggest fast fashion retailers but the brand is also committed to sustainability, regularly using recycled materials in both their eco-based Conscious collection and mainstream products.

Their latest collection, dubbed the Innovation Circular Design Story, once again celebrates the brand’s drive for sustainability but also joy. The fun, bold designs (and they REALLY are) are made using a range of recycled and recyclable materials, creating a cyclical form of production.

While parties might be hanging in the balance right now, this is one collection that we’ll be snapping up as it’s bound to sell out within hours. This is not one for retiring wallflowers – featuring  dramatic silhouettes, bold colours and a focus on fun, we can’t wait to wear these pieces – even if we might have to.

And it’s not just the fabrics that have been considered, but how we wear the pieces. Clever adaptations mean that items can be worn in multiple ways – blazers double up as dresses while others can be unzipped into separates plus zips and straps on many pieces mean that their fit can be easily altered to create multiple looks.

So, what’s worth buying? Well, we could say everything but where’s the fun in that? Team Style Life have picked their five hero items below.

1 The Ballgown

This cream and black polka dot dress is THE hero item from the collection. Made from recycled tulle, you’re bound to make an entrance in this number. At £299.99 it’s at the top end of the collection but in our eyes, it’s worth every penny.

And if full length isn’t your thing, then there’s a neon yellow short version too which is slightly cheaper at £199.99.

2 The Trouser Suit

This suit is totally what Bianca Jagger would wear if she was getting married in 2021. Taking the classic white trouser suit but snipping in cool cut outs and adding zips to the trousers that mean you can alter their width gives this look a fresh millennial update.

Blazer, £119.99

3 The Pink Co-ord Set

Okay, so there probably aren’t many people who can pull off a hot pink ball skirt with a thigh-high slit and matching crop top but a girl can dream, right? We’re getting major Carrie Bradshaw vibes and good timing too, with SATC’s sequel, And Just Like That launching tonight. £199.99

4 The Pink Sequin Slip Dress

Okay, so perhaps we’re a little bit biased with it being so close to Christmas – we may have sequins on the brain – but this dress is a clear winner in our eyes. Slinky and sparkly but in a cute shade of pink that means it’s a year-round dress rather than a single season wonder, this is a party dress you’ll come back to again and again, £79.99

5 The Puffball

Okay, this dress really shouldn’t work. It’s sugary pink, ruched AND a puffball but we love the drama that this particular piece brings plus the Eighties nostalgia of it all – £149
