Something For The Weekend: The Style Life List

Every Friday, we bring you a little something for the weekend…

We don’t know about you but this week the Friday feeling is strong – as well as a week of sunshine, we finally officially launched The Style Life and the response from you all has been truly wonderful. As a thank you, we’re bringing you a new feature a little earlier than expected, The Style Life: Listen. Head to our new Spotify to check out this week’s playlist or click here to read more.

But enough about us, onwards with this week’s The Style Life List.

Bat those lashes

We’ve had mascaras forever, then eyelash serums were the next big thing. But what about combining the two? That’s what RapidGlam™, makers of the award-winning RapidLash® Eyelash Enhancing Serum, have done. Their mascserum is the world’s first and is now on sale here. With black pigment and primer, it coats, conditions and strengthens your lashes. It’s got a whole host of science to make it work from peptides to pumpkin seed extract and kaolin. Eyelashes are said to look fuller and longer in six weeks. Available exclusively on lookfantastic.com for June, £32. Available nationwide at other retails from next month.

It’s 4pm somewhere in the world

We’ve all been there – you arrive at your picnic (or socially distanced park bench, you do you), reach into your hamper or cool bag to discover the ice packs have melted and your favourite bottle of Sauvy B is decidedly warmer than expected. Step forward, Plonk Bottles – insulated bottles for – you guessed it – your wine. Available in three stylish shades to complement your wine of choice, the bottles will keep your favourite wine chilled for up to 24 hours and warm for up to 12 hours. Although let’s be honest, we’ve never needed a bottle to last that long before. £35 each, available from plonkbottles.com

Speaking of wine…

It wouldn’t be Friday without some fizz. From the people behind I Heart Wine comes Liquid Diamond, which launches with a Prosecco DOC and Prosecco Rosé. With luxury themed bottles that take inspiration from healing crystals, this is fizz that will look as great on Insta stories as it tastes! The brand also donate a percentage of their profits to the Mental Health First Aid charity, funding first aider and mental health courses so with every sip you take, you’ll know you’re making a difference. From £10 for 75cl, Liquid Diamond is available on Amazon and Very.co.uk

Interior goals

If you love Jonathan Adler’s pottery, homeware and quirky objets d’art, you’re going to LOVE his latest collaboration. The designer has teamed up with global design company Yellowpop to create a collection of eight pop-art inspired LED signs including styles based on his iconic eye and pill motifs. You can even use an AI filter to see how a design would look in your home during daylight and nighttime before you buy. Our dream purchase? This eye design, £1250. Designs start at £265.

An essential LWD

Does anything scream summer more than a pretty white dress? We love this maxi style with lace insert detailing from V by Very. Just add tan leather sandals and a basket bag for the perfect sunshine outfit.

Summer reading

We are absolutely loving Anya Hindmarch’s new book If In Doubt, Wash Your Hair. The mum-of-five, entrepreneur, fashion designer, businesswoman and general inspiration shares what she has learnt from her incredibly busy and varied life.

Accessible and not preachy, Anya, who brought us the I’m Not A Plastic Bag campaign, has practical advice to factor into your everyday. As well as her book she has also opened The Village in London’s Pont Street – with an Anya Cafe, The Village Hall for pop ups, and The Labelled Shop with cases and bags to get your life organised – with an on-site embosser, obvs. It’s all part of her community values, which we wholeheartedly agree with. And she’s right, the simplest of things, like a good hair wash, can make everything feel so much better.

The Hands-Free life

Eastpak have once again teamed up with Timberland for an adventure-ready collection of backpacks, bumbags and travel gear. Made form 100% recycled materials, the eco-conscious collection is perfect for staycations or staying hands-free in the city. We love this camo backpack, £55
