La Redoute sometimes feels like style insiders best kept homeware secret.
As with their fashion offering, there is a fairly eclectic mix, ensuring there is something to suit all tastes. Whether you have a passion for sumptuous velvet love chairs in show stopping hues or prefer to invest in this season’s must have rattan, La Redoute have something to style up your home.
With a constant stream of newness, La Redoute is also a great place for outdoor furniture and we particularly like their outdoor rugs, a great way of making your outdoor spaces feel homelier and very much like an extension of your living space.
While the brand keep their finger on the pulse and invest in on-trend shapes, fabrications and colours, there is a really lovely vintage feel to a number of larger items, such as desks and cabinets although don’t be fooled, pieces still feel incredibly modern.
With a wide range of styles, we’ve struggled to whittle down to our seven favourite pieces online right now. But with so much to choose from, it’s well worth taking a spin through the site.
There is something about tropical palm prints that make us extremely happy. A little kitsch but still very much a strong homeware theme across the board, this print is set to stick around.
With wooden and laminate floor a popular choice for new homeowners, the stylish rug market has really boomed. For us La Redoute has one of the best and most easily accessible collections around. From colour block to statement patterns, if you’re in the market for rug, there are certainly some magical styles to be found.
You may have noticed a severe lack of garden furniture in the universe right now. With limited travel more of us our opting to holiday in our back yards, but that means styling up your garden has become a continuous race against the clock. It feels as soon as product lands, it goes out of stock. La Redoute still has a good selection of garden furniture, many with discounts, so go, go, go, before it’s gone.
The Egg Chair
Yes, of course this is still technically garden furniture, but the egg-chair remains one of the must-have outdoor pieces of 2021. The love of the egg chair seemed to explode last year as Mrs Hinch and Stacey Solomon’s fans lusted over the stylish and cosy seating idea, next thing we knew, Aldi had their own version and all egg-chairs basically sold out. If you’re still after the look, then this La Redoute version by So’Home should be on your radar.
Have your cake (stand)
We don’t know why but a cake stand feels like the ultimate level of frivolity. After a year in lockdown we’ve had sometime to perfect our baking skills (ok, develop some semblance of baking skills) and now we’re ready to host and show them off. If you’ve spent time making a ‘Bake-Off’ masterpiece, don’t forget that we eat firstly with our eyes, so give it the decor and tablescaping it deserves. We’re loving this monochromatic speckled stand.
Small Space Living
If you’re struggling for space everyday dining but still plan to have everyone round for a slap up meal every once in a while, then the extendable tables at La Redoute are definitely going to be your jam. This quirky angular table seats 4 at its smallest but can extend to accommodate up to 10 people, perfect for those with limited space.
Ok, so we went slightly over the seven items we set ourselves with this one. But if you like rattan, you’re going to love La Redoute homeware. From mirrors to multiple baskets, chairs, children’s beds and anything else rattan, La Redoute has the answer. Here are a few of our favourite rattan pieces.
