Something for the weekend: The Style Life List

Ah, sweet sweet Friday. While it may still be a few weeks before there’s much difference in what we do and where we are for those two precious days, we love any excuse to treat ourselves to something new.

For this week’s edition of the The Style Life List, we’re looking to supermarkets for our inspiration. While BoJo and co may disagree about what constitutes an essential shop, we NEED these pieces in our wardrobes – and at these prices, it’s rude not to quite frankly. Plus, in a move away from endless deliveries that you need to explain away to the other half (hello Pete from DPD!), you can smuggle these in with the food shop.

This pretty puffed sleeve blouse with cute broderie anglaise detail is the perfect spring top – we can’t wait to wear it with blue jeans, a biker and white trainers while drinking a crisp glass of white in our favourite pub garden.

We love our trackpants but after a year of living in them, we’re ready to relegate them to the back of the wardrobe in favour of something that, well, isn’t trackpants. Step forward this monochrome dress from F&F at Tesco. If you can’t find it in your local branch, fear not – it’s also available on here.

We may not know whether our holidays will be in Madrid or Margate this year but wherever we end up, these striped linen trousers are coming with us. Team with a white tee and statement sunnies for the perfect insouciant summer look for only £16.

And if you really want to go all out? There’s a matching blazer£18, too…

Here at The Style List, we live by the rule of ‘see it, buy it’ when it comes to supermarket style – there’s every chance that by the time you make your next trip, that piece that caught your eye will have been snapped up.

These ochre toe post sandals, £15, might have to wait a few weeks until our feet have been for a pedicure but stash them now and savour them later. Or better yet, start wearing them around the house now to make sure they’re perfectly broken in by the time your pedicure is ready for its debut.

Finally, we’ll be spending a lot of time outside in the not too distant future so make sure to finish off your look with a classic spring trench coat, £55. Marks & Spencer’s are unrivalled and this timeless style is one to return to year after year.
