Healing hands… how to repair your weathered hands after a year of antibacterial gels

When it comes to skincare, our hands are often overlooked and if they are lucky they might get the left over face or body cream rubbed into them when you’ve scooped out a little too much. But since the arrival of COVID, hand washing and antibacterial gels are now a much more regular occurrence for all of us and as a result our poor hands are left dehydrated, cuticles are parched and peeling and our nails have certainly seen better days since we’ve been unable to visit beauty salons.

It’s time to make hand care a prominent part of your self care routine and we’ve got you covered on our favourite products to help you do just that!

Hand Cream

Leave one beside every sink in your home, keep one in your bag alongside your antibacterial gel and one on your desk if that’s where you spend your most time during the day. Every single time you clean your hands you need to be applying a moisturising hand cream to replenish the lost hydration. The more tubes of it you have around the house the more likely you are to remember to use it! Rub it all over your hands front and back, up into your wrists and spend an extra bit of time massaging it into your cuticles at least a couple of times a day.

They work in much the same way as a sheet mask for your face and will deliver targeted ingredients in a perfect dose. Also the perfect excuse to put your phone down and have a little bit of ‘Me Time’ while they work their magic.
