Every Friday, we bring you a little something for the weekend…
We might be waiting for the sunshine to return but we’re officially in full summer mode here at The Style Life, making the most of longer days and warm nights.

Take a seat
While holidays might still be uncertain and with a five night staycation in Skegness costing more than a fortnight in the Bahamas, we’re focusing our energies – and budgets – on pimping our gardens until further notice. Upgrade your seating situation with this stylish rattan set from Habitat – if we can’t head to the tropics, we’ll bring them to us. Pass the mojitos.
We love this light cotton robe, £80, from Rae Feather – perfect for summer mornings as you enjoy the first coffee of the day. Available in three pretty prints, you won’t want to get dressed, especially when you discover the matching pyjama bottoms, £40.
Best feet forward
It’s been a while since we wore heels and to be honest, we’re not sure we can or want to ever go back. If you’re looking for a statement flat shoe, look no further than Zara’s chunky black sliders complete with oversized gems, £29.99. We’ll be wearing ours with a simple black dress and oversized shades.
We love Nobody’s Child and now the cool womenswear brand known for their covetable styles have launched Sombody’s Child for your mini me – we love this Esme lemon print dress, £28
We love River Island’s latest Studio collection which provides the ideal capsule wardrobe for the summer. From statement pieces like the tie dye shorts co-ord to classic denim, these are clothes you’ll want to revisit year after year. Our top pick? This cotton terracotta dress, £60. The oversized cotton cut will keep you cool on the stickiest of days while the colour is an earthy, chic tone that suits virtually every skin tone.
Want to add a hint of sunshine to your outfit? We love these Nala drops, £45, from cool indie brand Coco & Kinney. Add to your existing hoops or the brand’s gorgeous hammered Eleanor huggies.
It’s a match
And finally, looking for a spot of summer lovin’ but fed up of fake profiles and filters on dating apps? New kid on the block Qemistry is hoping to change all that by using videos. You can upload your videos from TikTok or Instagram, whether it’s out walking your dog, cooking or just a simple hello. It’s the brainchild of London-based Emma Clark and Sachin Karia, who wanted less catfishing and more realness. They spoke to thousands of single people to gauge what they really wanted from a dating app and being authentic was key. Qemistry is available to download now from the App store here
