Something for the Weekend: The Style Life List

It’s that time again, when we get ready to kick back, relax and switch off for another week. We’ve scoured the digital high-street for the seven products that are really catching our eye this week. From dainty dresses to homeware treats and everything in between, here’s this week’s style list.

Tea Time

We’ve perfected our baking all year and now we’re ready to show it off. Entertaining outdoors in the summer is our favourite afternoon pass-time and this decadent marble cake stand will make even the simplest of bakes look utterly elegant.

Pretty Dresses

Marks and Spencer are now stocking a number of other brands, helping customers to have more choice and smaller independent retailers, like Nobody’s Child to reach a wider audience. We love this pretty summer dress, the delicate Broderie Anglaise is just perfect for summer.

Coffee Time

We love a coffee in the garden on a sunny Sunday morning and this thermos jug is great for keeping our caffeine piping hot and of course it’s incredibly stylish too. Featuring a leak proof closure, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a nicer thermos.

Drink Up

Even though we can head back to the pub, we’re still enjoying the burgeoning booze businesses that have thrived in lockdown. Ready made cocktails have unsurprisingly become a popular home tipple of choice, giving you your favourite drinks with minimal effort and maximum flavour. Tayēr carry some serious classics, with Margaritas, Old Fashioneds and Negronis all on the menu (plus more) We love the minimalist, pharmaceutical style bottles too. It’s a party in a glass, just don’t forget the ice.

Read to drink, Tayēr Bergamot Margarita pre-made cocktail 300ml, £30, Selfridges

Ice Cream Frenzy

If you mastered banana bread in 2020, you might be looking for a new challenge for the summer of ’21. Enter… the ice cream maker. There is something ‘ultimate home-maker’ about this particular gizmo but we’re kind of tempted to give it a go, now, where are our flakes…

All the Pot Plants

We’re getting ready to enjoy our gardens as a voluntary activity – rather than the only means of socialising and that means it’s time to put our green fingers to the test. We’re loving the range of quirky and statement plant pots from Dunelm.

Fibre Clay Grey Plant Pot with Metal Stand, £25 | Resin Leopard Head Planter, £18 | Gold Monkey Planter, £18, all Dunelm

Mixology Master

Want to look like you know what you’re doing when it comes to the perfect gin drink? This is definitely a set that pushes the boat out, but if you’re big on gin and big on entertaining, then we think this in the garden on a balmy summer day is pretty much close to perfection. The set comes with two cocktail glasses, two tumblers, two highballs, two balloon glasses and a glass ice bucket, There are also four porcelain dishes for assorted garnishes. The ash wood serving stand has removable trays, with one inlaid with cork, for serving drinks.
